Supercharge Your Workout

Everyone needs to recharge their gym efforts from time to time. But you can do a lot more than just recharge…
Ongoing fitness success really requires that you continuously challenge your body. Whether it’s strength, flexibility, or endurance, achieving your fitness goals relies on constant hard work and dedication.
If you slow down and become complacent, you’ll minimize your gains over time. This may be okay if your only goal is maintenance, but most of us are looking to improve things on a regular basis.
So rather than recharge, I’m going to show you how to supercharge your workouts.
There are a ton of options for taking things to the next level, and I’m going to show you a few of my best approaches. Try one, or try them all – there’s no limit to how far you can reach!
Tips and Tricks to Supercharge Your Workout
Tip #1. Warm Up – This one may sound pretty simple and easy, but you’d be surprised by how many people avoid warming up before a workout. Just 5 minutes of light cardio before a weight training routine can help circulate your blood, warm up your muscles, and get you into the right mental space for working out.
Tip #2. Try High Intensity Interval Training– Also known as HIIT, high intensity interval training is specifically designed to burn a ton of calories and work out your muscles in a very short series of movements or exercises. It’s becoming more and more popular with fitness experts, as it helps to avoid the boredom and plateaus that occur with regular old cardio workouts.

Tip #3. Turn Up the Volume – Music is my own best bet when it comes to supercharging my workouts. Listening to music that gets you moving or picks you up can instantly lift your mood and energy. And don’t waste any time – the headphones should be in the minute you leave the changing room.
Tip #4. Think about What You Eat – What you eat just before a workout has a huge impact on your energy levels and your ability to push through the entire routine. I recommend getting in a light but balanced meal an hour or so before hitting the gym. A lean protein source like chicken or fish is a must, along with healthy carbs for energy and vitamin-rich vegetables.
Tip #5. Have a Pre-Workout Shake – If a pre-workout meal is too difficult, then have a pre-workout shake. Grab a blender, and add a scoop of Gaspari Nutrition Myofusion Delicious Vanilla flavor, some low-fat milk or milk alternative, a banana, and a scoop of NOW Spirulina Powder for extra energy, and you’ll feel totally energized and supercharged for your workout!
Tip #6. Try a Pre-Workout Energy Supplement – In my experience, some of the most effective weight training supplements are those that enhance your energy before and during a workout. You can do something as simple as green tea or green tea extract, or you can get really intense with a supplement like USPLabs Jack3d. This is one of the leading pre-workout energy boosters on the market. If you’re looking to supercharge your workout you can’t go wrong with this option!
