Good Ab Workouts for Rock Hard Abs

A good ab workout all comes down to a good plan. And over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to try out a few good routines.
There are 3 main factors that are common to all good ab workouts and these are always understated. Without these factors in place, you’re setting yourself up for failure so let me save you the frustration and allow you to see some serious results.
What Makes a Good Ab Workout?
Motivation – First and foremost, you need to get yourself motivated and stay in that mindset! It takes a little while to see real success when it comes to your abs and core, so motivation is absolutely essential. One way to ensure you’re motivated throughout your ab workouts is to listen to some up-beat music. At the gym or at home, this is an easy fix. Other great motivators include keeping a fitness journal, working out with a friend, or rewarding yourself at the end of the week.
Energy – The next thing you want to do is ensure you’re pumped and ready to go. Your physical energy is just as important as your mental energy (i.e., your motivation). Basic lifestyle factors like a good night’s sleep and a healthy diet can do the trick. But if you’re still finding your energy lacking, you might want to consider an energy-boosting supplement from my list of Best Pre-Workout Supplements.
Fuel – Lastly, you need to maintain your physical energy throughout any good ab workout. The easiest solution to this is staying hydrated. Water is good enough, or you can go with a replenishing sports drink for that extra punch. Coconut water has also become a popular choice among fitness enthusiasts – it’s great for keeping you hydrated and helping your body recover from the loss of vitamins and electrolytes.
Now onto the workout routines…

These ab workouts are arguably some of the best you will come across, and I know this because I’ve tested and found my clients to be extremely happy with the results. Give one a try or incorporate them all into your workout schedule to keep things interesting.
  • The Best Ab Workout – This workout plan offers up an intense abdominal and core workout that will leave you feeling toned and ripped! At about 45 minutes in length (depending on the number of sets you choose to do), this ab workout is aimed at hitting your abdominal muscles from all angles. Do the workout once or twice a week for optimal results.
  • 30-Minutes 6 Pack Abs Workout – This one still packs a killer punch, but in under 30 minutes. If you’re a bit tighter on time, or if you’re a beginner to focused ab workouts, this workout may be the perfect place to start.
  • Yoga Abs Workout – Last but not least, I’ve designed a yoga abs workout for those looking to improve flexibility and develop a tighter, more toned midsection. Incorporating a number of yoga poses and exercises, this ab workout is a totally effective alternative approach to the traditional ab workout. If you’re looking for something different or like the low-impact nature of yoga, give it a try!
